I was
once a princess, a warrior to be right;
who knew
only anger and showed hatred outright.
It was
then that I met you,
You
changed my world, with love and compassion
That
flowed from you!
I knew
that you had changed me,
but for
the good or for the worst?
I knew not
what you had taught me,
I knew not
the words that you said.
For
many years from then,
your
teachings eluded my mind!
But one
day they sank in,
WHEN I
LOOKED BEHIND!
As I
looked behind
As I
looked behind, I saw what I had done.
The death
and destruction that I had spread,
Upon the
masses of small homes and sheds!
As I
looked behind,
I saw the
misery, the sorrow that I had caused;
To more
than one family and this struck my heart.
I knew
then what you had said before!
As I
looked behind,
I saw the
monster that I had become.
I shed
tears, knowing not what they would do,
for the
thousands of families that had died at my hands!
I set
out to right the wrongs that I had done,
but I knew
not where they would bring me.
As I
looked behind, I saw you gazing,
At me with
all the love and compassion,
Flowing
from you like a raging river.
I saw
what I had done,
now I knew
what had to be done.
I set out

With your

darkness,

once been a part of me!
