Nurturing Holiday
Tuesday 29th May - Tuesday 5th June 2001

The centre manager Malcolm, is co-ordinating this nurturing holiday. He has brought together Fiona, Sarah and Tony who will work together to bring you a week of health-enhancing Nutrition, Yoga and Massage. These teachers will help you to nurture yourself simply and effectively. There will be ample time to relax and enjoy the sun, sea and surrounding mountains, whilst nourishing yourself with wonderful food.

Fiona Brooks has recently moved to Glasgow where she is to run the Scottish branch of The College of Nutrition. She is a qualified nutritionist and will talk and demonstrate the simple principles of nutrition in order to give individuals a deeper understanding of how the body functions and how disease is created. Fiona uses the principle of traditional naturopathy and nutrition. This is based on the philosophy of creating freedom of movement in the body. She will give some nutritional guidance as to how to change one's health picture. Fiona is also a massage therapist specializing in lymphatic drainage.

Sarah Partridge lives in Suffolk and works for Otley College teaching IT, Basic Skills and facilitating Personal Development groups. She has practised Hatha Yoga for the last 20 years and leads groups in the Ipswich area. Her approach is gentle with great emphasis on relaxing into the body: using the breath, awareness and positive thought to nourish all aspects of being. She will lead Yoga sessions daily, during which time she will encourage individuals to let go of negative thoughts, tension and tightness, leaving recipients feeling refreshed and renewed. Please bring something to practice Yoga on. .She is also willing to lead guided visualisations, earth healing or sharing sessions - as required by the group.

Tony Mounter also lives in Suffolk. He has a background in computer science, but combines this with a great interest in therapeutic touch. He has IHHT Diplomas in both Body and Indian Head Massage.  He will be available to give individuals massage treatments, and will be teaching the group basic massage techniques. He is also a great teacher of Circle Dance and will be offering dance sessions with a Greek flavour.

Malcolm will be using his culinary skills to support us, co-ordinating the program, and looking after our practical needs. Our food during this week will be “mostly” wheat and diary free.
Malcolm will also organize one or two excursions for the group. (A boat trip will incur a small extra cost.)
