The Tantra Club

For around six weeks of the year, the Centre is reserved for members of The Tantra Club founded by John Hawken and Hilly Spenceley, licensed teachers of SkyDancing Tantra in the UK, Germany and the Czech Republic.

John and Hilly launched the Tantra Club in the 1999 as part of their vision of establishing an international tantric community of all those who have taken trainings in tantra, and who want to go deeper together.

To be eligible, you must have taken one of our SkyDancing Tantraworkshops or their equivalent with other approved Tantra teachers. The focus of Tantra Club activity is the Azogires Centre we have established in Southwest Crete as a Tantric Retreat where we run holiday workshop programmes.

The Tantra Club offers Tantra Club Programme weeks which combine tantric sessions in the mornings and evenings with free time to go to the beach etc. in the afternoons. The Tantra Club holiday week is based on B&B withno programme if you wish to extend your stay in Azogires Centre before or after the Programme week.

These experiential workshops revisit key rituals introduced during the Trainings, but also provide a laboratory for exploring new dimensions of the tantric experience.

In this mythical environment, Tantra takes on an elemental quality, and it is possible to connect deeply with its essence, while experiencing the joy of living in a supportive tantric community.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP - Two Plans to choose from:

(1) GOLD Plan

For £300 a year, minimum 2 years, payable in instalments, Club Members are entitled to ONE WEEK'S Club Programme Workshop run by John and/or Hilly per year, with free food and accommodation, plus ONE WEEK'S holiday charged at £10 per night with breakfast.

(2) SILVER Plan

For £ 132 a year, payable at £11 per month, Members receive ONE WEEK'S full board per year during any Club Programme week, or to TWO WEEK'S accommodation without Board outside Club Programme weeks. Silver Plan Members pay a reduced tuition fee of £180 for the Club Programme. Alternatively, Members stay at the Centre outside Club weeks, either simply to take a holiday there or to join a non-Club programme, at normal tuition rates.

Both Plans:

a. What happens if I can't go one year?

In the event you do not go to Azogires, you may transfer your credit to the following year, provided you remain a member of the Club in the year that you go.

b. Can I switch from Gold to Silver Membership and vice-versa?

Yes, provided that you do not switch more than once every twelve months.

c. May I take a Guest who shares my room?

Yes. Your guest may participate in Club Programmes with you, provided you take responsibility for helping them join in appropriately. The combined tuition and accommodation fee for participating guests is £375 per Club Programme week.

d. May I bring Children?

Yes. Children are charged half-price for accommodation and board, provided they share your room with you if the Centre is full. During Club Programme weeks, we will whenever possible provide child-minding facilities (cost to be negotiated) to cover the group sessions, normally mornings until about 1pm and evenings from around 8:30.

e. If my plans change, how much notice must I give?

Minimum 2 months' notice for cancelling booking without penalty. Otherwise, no penalty only if we can fill the empty place.

Extra Club Activities

We hope to arrange Tantra Club Evenings in the UK - perhaps a winter party - and we also want to launch special "Members only" SkyDancing website areas. Ideas and help welcome.
