POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Ford Foundation seeks a veteran human resources professional with a global network of contacts and resources to fill the position of Manager, Staffing at the Foundation's New York office. The Manager, Staffing supervises a staff of five and directs all staffing activities for the New York office (375 employees) and for the hiring of the 14 Program Representatives who head up the Foundation's 14 offices in Asia, Africa, and Spanish speaking countries in North and South America. 

The ideal candidate will
* Have ten to fifteen years of related human resources experience in
the recruitment and selection of staff in global organizations;
* Have a demonstrated ability to build and sustain the services of the
staffing function, including the development of workflow and automated
systems, and optimization of staff and resources;
* Have experience with relevant governmental regulations, employment
policies, and with the application of INS regulations to employment matters;
* Bring to the position a developed network of local, national, and
internal search contacts and resources;
* Have an advanced degree in management or relevant human resources
discipline;
* Have proficiency with various computer applications, including HRIS
and personal computers;
* Have strong consultative and management skills.
