For its Arlington, VA location, ERIM is seeking a Director with experience in winning and managing large, domestic and/or international environmental, natural resource, and disaster information management projects. The Director will lead ERIM's Center for Sustainment Sciences and Technologies(CSST) from a small to a medium-sized and sustainable business unit; identify and capture funding opportunities from U.S. and international financial institutions and development agencies, grow ERIM's presence in mature and emerging markets; and have lead responsibility for the staffing, business and marketing operations of the CSST business.

Qualified applicants  will have a Ph.D. or Masters with 10 years experience in Information Technology, Earth Science, Natural Resource Management or a related field.

He/she will have extensive experience in the application of advanced information technologies (GIS) to the environmental, natural resource and disaster management areas. Successful candidates will have proven expertise in working with US and international development agencies and funding institutions such as the US Agency for International Development and the World Bank. ERIM provides a challenging environment and an attractive compensation package. ERIM is currently in the process of exploring a formal business relationship with VRI.
