Sinéad gets a holy promotion [Apr 19 2000 4:03PM] Mother Bernadette Mary - known in the secular world as singer Sinéad O'Connor - has been promoted by the Catholic splinter group which ordained her to the priesthood 12 months ago. Archbishop Michael Cox of the Tridentine Church, who gained notoriety by hearing phone-in confessions, has made Sinéad an Archdeacon in recognition of her work on behalf of Dublin's homeless. O'Connor has also been made an honorary Doctor of Divinity in Divine Healing. Archbishop Cox, who plans to travel to Dublin to present O'Connor with her certificates said, "Sinéad has been given special powers of healing. She has a very good spirit. This appointment is because of her work with the sick and the homeless in Dublin." Referring to the documents he plans to give her he added, "These are 100 per cent genuine documents. They have beenvalidated by the Sacred Council of Trent." from Q Online
