Climax engine. This photo is a composite of 3 photos as I couldn't get a clear shot of it. This 0-4-0 was built by the Vulcan Iron Works in 1910.
I think this was a gas powered engine from a mine on the island. This was the working engine of the museum before the current shay
The operating engine at the museum in 1998. This is what makes it so interesting.
Another shay on display. I have learned that the Great Grampa of my son's girlfriend Leanne was the engineer at one time.
