A : “</U></B><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#800080" FACE="Arial" ><B><U>Jehovah identifies his own witness”</U></B></FONT><B><U> and refers to Isa. 43:10-12</U></B></div> <bR> <div> Isaiah 43:10-12 </div> <div>     <I><B>Ye are my witnesses</B></I><I>, saith the </I><I><B>Lord (Jehovah</B></I><I>), and </I><I><B><U>my servant</U></B></I><I> whom I have chosen: </I><I><B>that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he</B></I><I>: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. [11</I><I><B><U>] I, even I, am the Lord (Jehovah); and beside me there is no saviour</U></B></I><I>. [12] </I><I><B><U>I have declared, and have saved</U></B></I><I>, and I have shewed, when there </I><I><B><U>was no strange god</U></B></I><I> among you: </I><I><U>therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. </U></I></div> <bR> <div> Let's look at what this scripture is really saying.  Verse 10:   The Lord is claiming that, as His witness, you may believe and understand that Jehovah God is the "Servant" of Isaiah 52;12-53;12, which is Jesus:</div> <bR> <div> Isaiah 52:13 </div> <div>     <I>Behold, </I><I><B><U>my servant</U></B></I><I> shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. </I></div> <bR> <div> He goes on to say that there has never been, nor will there ever be, another God formed. So then how does the Watchtower turn Jesus into “A” god in John 1:1?</div> <bR> <div> Verse 11 says that <B><U>Jehovah God Himself is our savior</U></B>, and there is <B><U>NO OTHER savior but Jehovah God Himself.</U></B> Can I ask you, how then can Jesus be our savior if HE is not Jehovah?</div> <bR> <div> Titus 3:4<I> "... when the kindness and the love for man on the part of </I><I><B>our SAVIOR</B></I><I>,</I><I><B> </B></I><I><B><U>GOD WAS MANIFESTED</U></B></I><I> " </I>(manifested - Gr. "epiphaino" - (lit.) "become visible; appear") </div> <div> <U>Titus 1:3; 2:10</U> says that <B><U>God</U></B><B> is our </B><B><U>savior. </U></B></div> <div> <U>Titus 1:4; 3:6</U> says that <B><U>Jesus </U></B><B>is our </B><B><U>savior.</U></B></div> <bR> <bR> <div> Finally in verse 12, God proclaims that <B><U>HE HIMSELF saved</U></B> and there is NO strange god among you. How do you explain this verse when the Watchtower has turned Jesus into “a” god, which is a “strange god” and <B><U>yet it was Jesus Himself that saved us</U></B>?</div> <bR> <div> <B>Jesus</B> confirms that <B><U>HE is Jehovah</U></B><U> </U><B><U>and the servant</U></B>, the one speaking in Isaiah 43 when He said Acts 1:8   <U>Jesus says </U><I><U>"...you will </U></I><U>be </U><I><B><U>WITNESSES of ME</U></B></I><I>.”</I></div> <bR> <div> Should we be a Jehovah's witness or Jesus' witness? (More on this in <A HREF="id215.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Jesus"><U><B>22. Jesus.</B></U></A>)</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B><U>The BTD goes on to say that “</U></B><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#800080" FACE="Arial" ><B><U>the line of faithful witnesses began with Abel</U></B></FONT><B><U>” and ref. Hebrews chapter 11 to 12:1</U></B></div> <bR> <div> <U>Heb. 11:4</U> Abel was NOT a "Jehovah's witness", but a witness of FAITH.  “<I>By</I> <I>FAITH Able offered God (</I>a<I> </I>better sacrifice)..” His FAITH bore witness of his righteousness. In<I> </I>fact ALL of Chapter 11 deals with men of FAITH and is summed up in 12:2 in which Jesus Himself is the “<I>author and finisher of our faith</I>”. </div> <bR> <div> (Salvation is by FAITH. see "<A HREF="id190_38__salvation.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="JW doct. cont."><U>38- Salvation</U></A>")</div> <bR> <div> <U>Rom 5:1-2</U>  “<I>Therefore, now </I><I><B><U>we have been declared righteous as a result of FAITH</U></B></I><I> let </I>us <I>enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom also we have access</I> <I>by FAITH into His Grace (undeserved kindness).</I></div> <bR> <div> No one is justified by their good works or by observing the law but only by FAITH in Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:20-24,28 & 4:4-6)</div> <bR> <div> The BTD then reduces Jesus to have been a “Jehovah's Witness” referring to John 18:37, Rev. 1:5 and 3:14.</div> <bR> <div> In <U> John</U> <U>18:37</U> Jesus was NOT a "Jehovah's Witness" but rather a <I>"...</I><I><B><U>witness  to</U></B></I><B><U> </U></B><I><B><U>the Truth</U></B></I><I>.” </I>Jesus said <I>"</I><I><B><U>I am the</U></B></I><I> way, the </I><I><B><U>TRUTH</U></B></I> <I>and the Life.."</I></div> <bR> <div> If Jesus IS the Truth, then He is a witness of Himself, “THE TRUTH”! Which also explains the other 2 verses of His witness… “<I>to the truth”</I>!</div> <bR> <div> <I> </I>If you will read  <U>1 John 5:9-13</U><I> </I>you will find that the FATHER <I>"...has borne </I><I><B><U>WITNESS</U></B></I><I><B> CONCERNING HIS SON</B></I><I>." </I>And whomever does not receive this witness from God <I>"...</I><I><B>has made Him </B></I><B>(God) </B><I><B>a liar</B></I><I>..”</I></div> <bR> <div> <B>God</B> is a witness of Jesus (1 John 5:9-13),  the<B> Holy Spirit</B> is a <U>witness</U> of Jesus (John 15:26) & <B>Jesus</B> commanded us to be ".. <I><U>witnesses </U></I><U>of </U><I><U>ME </U></I><U>(Jesus</U>) (Acts 1:8).</div> <bR> <div> Who's witness are you?</div> <bR> <div> <U>Rev. 19:10</U> The Interlinear says <I>"....A fellow slave of you I am, and of the brothers of you, having the </I><I><B><U>witness</U></B></I><B><U> </U></B><I><B><U>of Jesus</U></B></I><I>; to God,</I> <I>give worship. For the </I><I><B><U>witness of Jesus</U></B></I><I> is the spirit of prophecy.</I></div> <bR> <div> Are your prophets “witnesses of Jesus''?
