My name is Morag, and I am a founder member of the Church of Easy Negative Cynicism. I am also the Dictator-for-life of the Women's Institution... sorry, Institute.This title might mean a bit more if I wasn't the only female member of the C of ENC. Ho hum.
OK, mundane stuff now. I'm a student at Edinburgh Uni, studying psychology. I'd stick a link in here to the departmental website, but it's really dull, so I wouldn't reccomend it.
I play the keyboard and sing in a band called Thermal Sock. We're not very good. I like to get that piece of information in nice and early, just in case anyone thinks we're a proper band or anything. We do lots of covers of other people's songs. We tried to write some of our own material, but the 2 songs we managed to cobble together became known as "Goat Sodomy" and "Badger Sodomy", so we gave up on that one for the time being.
The band consists of Stuart "Chappie" Brook, who plays lead guitar and is very good, but doesn't believe us when we tell him so, Patrick "El Haddock" Down, who plays rhythm guitar and displays a worrying liking for wildebeest and goats, Fraser "Mr L.F.Wit" McCormick who alledgedly sings and plays the piano, but has only been to one rehearsal so far, and me. We're a bit shit, but we have a laugh, and that's really the only reason we do it, frankly.
My attempt to put a picture of myself up in the top right hand corner has gone somewhat awry. Since the vast majority of you will already know what I look like this is not a problem. My *actual* family probably don't want to be associated with this, so I'll tell you about the Brunton Place Home for the Terminally Bewildered, where I live. It's nice. It has nice soft wallpaper and we get to wear coats with *really* long sleeves, and lots of nice buckles.
The current inmates are El Haddock, The Sinister without Portfolio, and Ickle Neil.
