Mitsubishi F1M "Pete"
Originally designed as a catapult launched reconnaissance float plane the F1M proved to be very versatile, performing such roles as area-defense fighter, convoy escort, bomber, antisubmarine attack, ocean patrol, rescue and even transport. The type saw dogfights in the Aleutians, the Solomon's and several other theaters. Some even scored victories considering how old they were!
