Mikoyan Mig - 3
Developed from the MiG-1 in an attempt to fix certain problems, the MiG-3 filled a gap until more advanced fighter could be produced. While it was able to hold it's own above 5,000 ft. the MiG-3 was unable to compete against the low level Luftwaffe tactics. By 1942 the type was relegated to armed recon and close-support roles.
