Heinkel HE 219 Uhu
Designed primarily as a night fighter the HE-219 was a killer lurking in the dark. It had mechanical problems and also suffered from stabilizer problems. They were worked out and then a new night fighter was born. It was even outrunning the lighter , faster British De Havilland Mosquitos.
