A work in progress (and probably always will be)

Home The new house
OK.  Times up.  I've just come to the startling conclusion that I'm not Peter Pan after all.  (As it turns out, he's actually a completely fictional character).  The upshot is that we are going to hang up our backpacks and buy ourselves a house in Hungary.

We have jut put in an offer on an old farmhouse in a full acre of meadow.  The house needs a lot of work doing to it, but the garden's enormous!  Into the bargain, three sides of the house look out onto open countryside.  There's an orchard and stable and the possibility of converting the house itself into a three bedroom affair, so we are quite excited about the whole thing.

Prices are pretty reasonable out here so it's an opportunity to do something that we would probably never have been able to afford to do in England.

I plan to keep a pictorial account of our progress on this page.

I will keep you posted.
