Saturday, November 8, 2003. Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts. Other participants included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Colleen Cookson of Shreveport; Dorothy Metzler of Longview; Tony Novak of Uncertain; Tony Novak, Jr. of Lewisville and his daughters, Megan and Alie; plus about twenty students from Panola College in Carthage with their instructors, Becky Gullette, Darrel Hudson, Sheila Ritter, and Kevin & Cindy Rutherford.
Location: The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).
Weather Conditions: The morning low temperature was around 49º F, and the afternoon high was around 51º F. Skies were cloudy all day.
Time: Nets were opened about 9:45 a.m. and closed about 4:45 p.m.
Number of Nets: Nine (9)

Location: The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).
Weather Conditions: The morning low temperature was around 27º F, and the afternoon high was around 55º F. Skies were cloudy all day.
Time: Nets were opened about 9:00 a.m. and closed about 3:30 p.m.
Number of Nets: Thirteen (13)
