December 18, 2001 -- This is a report of our bird-banding effort on Thursday, December 18, 2001. Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the activity. Other participants included Gary Clendenen of UT-Tyler; Peggy Harding of Kilgore; Diane Jones of Jonesville, Texas; Troy Ladine of ETBU, Marshall, Texas; Dorothy Metzler of Longview; and Tom Walker of Jefferson.
Location: The activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).
Weather Conditions: Clear and sunny with occasional high cloudiness. Morning lows were in the 30's and the high was near 60.
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Number of Nets: 11 nets from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; 6 nets at sparrow field from 2:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Other participants included Dorothy Metzler of Longview, Peggy Harding of Kilgore, True Mann of Longview and Dallas, Donald Brillhart of Woodlawn, Texas, and Tom Walker of Jefferson.
Location: The activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).
Weather Conditions: Clear and breezy. The morning low was near freezing and the high reached into the mid-50's.
Time: 8:35 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
