Saturday, March 16, 2002. Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts. Other participants included Diane Jones of Jonesville, Dorothy Metzler of Longview, Dr. Jack and Mary Jane Sanders of Karnack, Paul & Carole Fortune of Karnack, John Fortune of Madisonville, Kathy Keller of Austin, and Tom Walker of Jefferson.

Location: The activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).

Weather Conditions: Heavy clouds with occasional light sprinkles; morning low of 53 F. and afternoon high in the mid 50's.

Time: approximately 8:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
