No Miracle Rally This Time
October 19, 2012...Upon the resumption of game three, Loosian's Boys of Summer found themselves with precious little space for error. But on Wednesday, down five runs with just four innings left to play, on a crisp autumn night under the lights at Ebersol, Al Miller and the rest of his merry band of rambunctious softballers were in dire need of a quick resolution to the top of the fourth inning. What soon transpired however, was anything but quick. Parsons Brinckerhoff, in search of their first ever league title, was not about to let this one slip away. Leading 9-4 after three, PB pounded the Bisons for 8 runs in the top of the 4th to break the game wide open and dig a hole the Bisons just couldn't climb out of. A six run bottom of the sixth inning rally gave the Bisons a bit of hope going into their last at bat of the 2012 season but another Renegade fantastic finish was not to be. Parsons defeated the Bisons 21-16 to win their first MSESL title and finish a wacky 2012 Finals that began way back on the night of September 13th. The Renegades congratulate Sean O'Rourke, Larry Keegan and the rest of their PB teammates for a well deserved title. Click Here for 2012 Renegade Team Photo. A 13-run deficit was a bit too much for the Renegades as they fail in their attempt for a 7th league title after falling to PB 21-16

MILLER'S MUSINGS

Renegade ace, Al "The Nat" Miller has never been at a loss for words. In fact, the Bisons have a great poet and didn't know it until only recently when the Boys of Bison discovered that Miller is quite the wordsmith. For some of the Nat's more eloquent musings, click on the picture.

THE BESOTTED BISON

The Besotted Bison is awarded on a yearly basis to the Renegade who has surpassed expectations regarding athletic ability and who has displayed a positive, winning attitude at all times.

 Lamarre is Besotted

October 19, 2012...Paul Lamarre won the 2012 Besotted Bison Award edging Al Miller in another photo finish. It was Lamarre's first ever Besotted Bison and the usually loquacious Lamarre was pleasantly a man without words after winning the stunning decision. Read more
