The All -Knowing
and Ever -Present God

God made the sea for a very special reason.
He made it to mirror Himself.
The sea is everywhere, just look at it.

It is an awesome reminder.
A reminder of God's strength,
His knowledge and
His presence.

He has probed us, he knows us
He knows when we sit and stand,
He understands our thoughts from afar.
He marks our travels and our rest ;
with all our ways He is familiar.
Even before a word is on our tongue,
He knows it all.
Like the sea, behind and before
He encircles us
and rests His hand upon us.

Go, go and stand at the seashore.
Look into the sea.
See its vastness, understand its strength
It is everywhere
.

 We cannot hide from His spirit.
 We  cannot  flee from His presence.
If we  ascend to the heavens He is there:
Even if we lie in Hell, He is there too.
if we fly with the wings of dawn
and alight beyond the sea,
Even there His hand will guide us,
His right hand hold us fast.

Look into the sea.
You can see Him there,
You can feel His presence,
see His strength and understand .

He formed our innermost being;
He placed us in our mothers' womb.
So wonderfully He made us
Wonderful are His works!
Our very selves He knew;
our bones were not hidden from Him,
When we were being made in secret,
fashioned as in the depths of the sea.
His eyes foresaw our actions;
in His book all are written down;
our days were shaped, before one came to be.

Yes, look at the awesome sea,
but it doesn't end there.
The sand, the shore, the dunes
The sun, moon and the sky
Everything -- Everything.

How precious  are His designs,
How vast the sum of them!
Were we to count,
they would outnumber the sands;
to finish we would need eternity.

I stand before the sea,
I look in awe
I speak from my soul.

Probe me, God, know my heart;
try me, know my concern.
See if my way is crooked,
then lead me in the ancient paths

Adapted from David, Psalm 139
