Our beautiful wooden, sea-side house, which is just metres from the sea on a quiet stretch of the North Norfolk coast is available to rent throughout the year. The house is a modern reconstruction of the 1930's house which stood on the site previously. It incorporates all of the major features of the original house - painted shiplap exterior boarding, exposed white wooden ceilings and beams, and a shaded wooden-slatted veranda.
However, its most desirable feature is the unique location. The house occupies the plot closest to the sea on a quiet estate of similar houses, and therefore has unbroken sea views from two sides. The edge of plot is actually directly above the sea wall. The house sleeps four comfortably |
| There are
steps next to the house that provide direct access to the
beach and the costal path. The beach is never crowded,
even in the height of summer because is some way from any
convenient parking locations (The house has its own
private parking for one car, and additional parking can
be found on the estate). The house has two bedrooms; a double bedroom with French windows opening out onto the veranda, and a bedroom with two single beds at the rear of the house. All the beds have good, firm mattresses. The spacious open-plan living area has a sofa, two arm chairs and two tables. There is a TV, VCR/DVD and CD/radio player. The kitchen has a fan-oven, microwave, hob, washing machine, dish washer, ample work surfaces and a breakfast counter looking out over the sea. In the winter months the house is warm and cosy; it has excellent insulation, a wood burning stove and electric heating in every room. The bathroom has an electric shower, full size bath and WC. There is also a separate WC. The veranda and garden area that overlook the sea are equipped with all the necessary outside furniture. There are also deck chairs and a wind break that can be taken down to the beach. North Norfolk offers lots to do throughout the year. The famous Norfolk Broads are within easy reach by car or bus (Wroxham is about 20 minutes by car), as are the small market towns of Stalham, North Walsham and Aylesham. Norwich is a half-hour car journey away, and even closer are the Victorian sea-side resorts of Cromer and Sheringham. There are also a wealth of stately homes to visit in the area. Visit North Norfolk's tourist information website to find our more about the area. However, the sandy beach is right on your doorstep and a choice of pubs and shops are within walking distance - so you probably won't feel the need to stray far.
