The current game, Dark Horde Rising, is closed. You may play with the java app if you like, but please do not submit the character. We are aware that Netscape users may experience some problems with the java app. If you have difficulties, please email us with the type and version of browser you are using.

Print out the questionnaire or have it open in a second window to help you round out your character.
At the bottom of this page you will find links to 3 different java-based character generation pages. Pick the one for the general category of the profession you wish to play. (If you are not familiar with professions, that information may be found on the ARG Roleplay System section from the ARG home page.)
Press the "Roll Character" link at the top of the page. This will roll your primary attributes and calculate your secondary attributes and the starting value of your main skill groups. (If the results are too low, you may re-roll. Also, there are a lot of variables so you may have to wait a moment for the results after clicking on a link. Be patient.)
Apply your 10 starting skill points. (If you are unfamiliar with the rules for applying skill points, please go back and re-read the skills information in the ARG Roleplay System section. The page does not test the validity of your character, so be careful to apply the points correctly, otherwise you may have to create a new character.) Do keep in mind the following:
The first 2 points in any skill group must be spent on specialized skills. Only the 3rd point may be spend on the group total. (The one exception is following...)
You must "buy off" the -3 penalty on Optional Skills before these skills may be used. (These first three points are all applied to the group. Once the skill group is purchased, then proceed as normal.)
The Miscellaneous Skills must be purchased individually. Every third point is applied to the Miscellaneous Skill group, but it does not add to the value of the skills.
Fill out the rest of the character information at the top of the page, and the character history at the bottom of the page. (If you are not already a member of the Knights of the Dragon's Pearl, be sure to include you email address here so we can respond. Also, please consider filling out the application and joining.)
Submit the character.
