I Want to be Rough Like the Buff - Why Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my Ultimate Rolemodel
I first watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer when it came to Norway in the fall of 1997. I've always had a thing for vampires, werewolves, and magic so I decided to watch it, expecting it to be like the movie which I had seen several years before. I couldn't have been more mistaken. This new Buffy was slick, rough, and hard. Sarah Michelle Gellar does a fabulous job in the role, as anyone watching it can see. She kicks and wisecracks her way to ultimate domination of the vampire race, not to mention all the other baddies which crawl and go bump in the night. Since then the character of Buffy has been my idea of the 'perfect woman'. Not neccessarily her height, eye color, or pretty blonde hair but her essence. Below are my reasons why Buffy is the best rolemodel any girl can have.
She fights better than any girl I've ever seen
You never see her sweat, even in the toughest and most trying of situations
She is independent as hell
She knows the meaning of 'loyalty'
She gets the cutest guys
She's not afraid to cry
She's not afraid of anything, except when the lives or souls of her loved ones are at stake
She has an open mind. A slayer and in love with a vampire, hmm....
She has way cool friends
When the mortal world is about to fall into everlasting darkness, she is always dressed for the occasion.
She can beat the crap out of the bad guys
She knows when to talk and when to hurt
She always comes up with the best wisecracks in the most difficult of situations
Those oh-so-hard leg sweeps definitly impress me
You just know if a guy ever messes with her he'll be cleaning his teeth out of his throat the next day
She doesn't take 'no' for an answer
She defies the laws of gravity and of logic in an oh-so-becoming way
She has a good heart (yeah this was lamo but its true)
She rules - I swear if she was running for president I would not only back her I would run her campaign
No one ever pushes her around
