Old and New Stock on the Leeds Metro services.
1) New Pictures in Shipley, and Bradford Galleries,
2) New Sections: Doncaster, Sheffield, Meadowhall, Holgate, York (GNER & Midland)
3) Class 333s are now entering service rapidly on Leeds Metro services,
4) The Class 308's days are now numbered, and it is unlikely any will be preserved,
5) New shots at Leeds (Metro), Scarborough and Shipley added.
Welcome to my latest website!
This is the fourth one I have created (you can find links to the
others on the links page!). Having moved to Scarborough the first
thing I noticed was the lack of websites about the railways of the
area! This site will hopefully provide information and photographs of
the trains, stations and railways in the York and Leeds
area.
The Railways in this area are going through some changes at the moment, for example the Leeds 1st Project is under way and the some of the suburban (Metro) platforms have been completely rebuilt. The ageing Class 308 EMUs are being replaced by new Siemens Class 333 units.
