Maybe you're more alike than you think...

A Few Things...
I've decided to try something new with my Vandread Fics. Instead of making one, massive continuing series, I've decided to do seperate, stand-alone fan fics which take place at different times but which all take place in the same 'universe' or continuity. What this basically means is that while all you need to understand the fics is a knowledge of the point in the actual series where it takes place, at times I will refer to something that happened in a prior fanfic. Thus none of my fics will have direct 'sequels' but they will all have repurcussions, however slight, on all the fics that take place after.
For example, by the end of Lessons of the Body, Hibiki will have begun a certain kind of 'training'. Since Vandread: Marooned takes place later along the timeline that LotB, that training will have an effect, though few if any explicit reference will be made to LotB. That way you won't have to read ALL my fics to enjoy the latest one... Though I'd be flattered if you did ^_^

Title: Lessons of the Body
One - Shot
Timeframe: After Episode Eight, First Stage
Summary: Meia is restless, and she decides to release some stress the only way she knows how. In the process however, she just might discover a new side to Hibiki, as well as the tuth of the Boss' words... They may be more alike than she thinks.
Notes: My first Vandread fanfic - and one that establishes the foundation of a relationship that will steadily grow in all my fics...

Lessons of the Body

Title: Vandread: MAROONED
Series (Six Parts)
Timeframe: Between the First and Second Stages
Summary: The Nirvana crash lands on an alien planet, stranding the crew in a strange environment. Low on supplies and unable to use either Vanguard or Dread, the crew of the Nirvana is forced to contend with a deadly threat - and to unravel an evil that even Earth has forgotten...
Notes: I have a tendency to fall in love with series' whose focuses are - not the art or even the plot - but the characters theselves, and Vandread is no different. Marooned was my way of showcasing these characters, outside of the space battles which were their traditional backdrop. Not that this series lacks action - just of a different, more earthly kind. Besides that, this series gave me the chance to do two things: make a Survivor Omake, and draw Meia in skimpy clothing  ^_^

Chapter One: Grounded
Chapter Two: Welcome to the Jungle
Chapter Three: Shackled
Chapter Four: Authentic Humanity
Chapter Five: Evolution
Chapter Six: Farewell to Destiny
