| What are the Gatekeepers? | Gatekeepers is an anime series produced by GONZO. makers of Blue Submarine No.6 and Vandread. It stars a group of teenagers who protect the Earth from invading forces aptly called 'Invaders' using special powers called 'Gates'. Sounds cliche? A bit perhaps, but GONZO tells the story well, and gives you chracters that you can care about, and that was enough to get me to like it. |

| What is the One Gate? | The One Gate is my Gatekeepers fanfic, set after the end of the series.
While I liked the series and the characters it presented to me, I always
thought that there was a lot more that could have been done with the plot
and with the setting than what GONZO was able to achieve. Thus the One
Gate is my attempt to take the basic ideas of Gatekeepers and run with
it, making the setting more international as well as deepening the plot.
Several important questions that were never seriously addressed in the
series (such as the origins of both the Gates, AEGIS and the Invaders)
will be delved into in this fic. Along the way I'll introduce a few new
foes, and a few new friends as well. I know many readers are wary
of Author Created Characters, but give these guys a chance - each character
adds something that wasn't there before, adding depth to the existing cast
rather than distracting from them - or at least that was my goal. I'm sure
you guys will let me know whether I succeeded or not ^_^.
