Introduction

Genesis

Paucity of well-trained professional personnel has been the major reason for the underdevelopment of the North Eastern region of the Indian sub-continent. Accepting this gap as a thrust area for infrastructure building, the government of Assam sponsored the Assam Institute Of Management (AIM), in 1998. It is the only fully autonomous management institute in the country to be promoted by any state government in India.

Mission

The mission of the Assam Institute Of Management is to become a CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE by carrying out teaching, training, rersearch, consultancy and networking in the field of management as also allied disciplines. The aims and objectives laid down to work towards this mission are :

To provide for and promote education and training in various fields of management and allied disciplines.
