Freddie Keppard


   Freddie Keppard was the serious musician, Inherited at Baddy Bolden a rank of "king" New Orlean.
   He began to play about 1906, were in the lead in Olympia Orchestra, playing in "marching" orchestras and clubs Storyville.
  In 1912 Bill Johnson has invited it in group of the musicians and has brought in Лос Анджелес with promising of operation. This band became known as "Original Creole Orchestra" and with 1912 up to 1918 he went on the country, appearing in show, and for the first time representing the spectators of northern states present New Orlean's a jazz much.

  Similarly to many musicians from New Orlean, Keppard has located in Chicago in the beginning 1920. He worked with several band's in city, switching "Doc Cook's Dreamland Orchestra", Erskine Tate, Ollie Powers and "Charles Elgar Creole Orchestra" in Savoy Ballroom.

   To this time the best days Фредди were behind, but it the wild and rough style well represented by a song "Stock Yard Strut", which he has written down with "Jazz Cardinals" in 1926.
Freddie abused with alcohol and became the unreliable member band. Nevertheless he has continued to work down to 1928, when was ill a tuberculosis.
In 1933 Freddie Keppard has died of a tuberculosis. .
