A  Gallery of wood carvings of Bird and Duck Decoys.  Wood Carvings of Chickadees, Kingfishers, Eiders, Cardinals , Mourning Dove and a "Wolf"  head carving.

The wood carvings in this sites are the  "Traditional North American Style" that has developed over the past 100 years. Focus is on carved accuracy and details of  individual species .The carvings shown in this Wood Carving Gallery are made from Basswood or Tupelo Wood, each carving requires 80 to 300 hours to complete. Original Designs - Show Quality

The "Individual Feathers" on each bird or duck is shaped textured and then burned  with a fine burning pen.The surface is then painted with an Acrylic paint to replicate each individual species. Two styles of Carving are Displayed. Smooth mostly paint detail  and  Fully Carved , detailed with Paint.
