Working Experience
Since 28th Oct. 1997 Research Scholar and
Graduate Assistant,
National University of Malaysia, 43000, Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia.
- Collect, update and analyze relevant information for
technical advisory services on hydroponics, orchard management and postharvest related problems, particularly for progressive formers.
- Working on project entitled "Alleviation of Chilling
Injury during Low Temperature Storage of Tropical Fruits.
From Sept. 1995 Till Oct. 1997 Junior Research
Fellow, Indian Agricultural Research Institute,
Division of Fruits and Horticultural-Technology, Pusa, New Delhi 110 012.
The focus of my project was to develop
suitable technology for long distance transportation of c.v. Suvarnarekha (South Indian
Variety) and Mallika (North Indian Varity) mangoes, which were identified by Agricultural
and Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA), New Delhi, as promising varieties,
having all desirable characters, for export to Europe. By adopting new technology
developed through this project, Suvarnarekha fruits could be stored up to 36 days, whereas
fruits of Mallika could be stored up to 27 days, at low temperature (12 C, 85-95% RH),
against their normal storage life of 22 days and 16 days for CVs. Suvarnarekha and
Mallika, respectively.
From Sept. 1993 Till Mar. 1994 Horticulture Extension Trainee,
Fruit Research Station,
Sangareddy,

I underwent a six months Rural Agricultural
Work Experience Program (RAWEP), at Nandikandi village, Sangareddy Dist., Andhra Pradesh,
