Beethoven: Symphony No. 5

Kurt Masur
Beethoven Symphony No. 5, OP. 67 Egmont, OP. 64
New York Philharmonic Masur

This is really the only recording of the Fifth Symphony that I have listened to a lot. I really like it. It was the first classical recording I ever got. At first I didn't like it, but like Mr. Holland said, I listened to it over and over until I did like it.

It wasn't until I got to College that I realized that the first chords of the fourth movement were the first time that the trombone was used in a major orchestral work.
