Button Functions 

Stop/Cancel · Press this button to stop scanning or to exit scanner configuration screens. 

Custom · Configure this button to send your scanned page to the application or device of your choice. · Set it up for a second printer, or for your favorite word-processor, image editing or e-mail application. 

Fax · Touch this button to send scanned pages directly to your fax software. · Simply hit the button and OneTouch scans your page, launches your fax software, and takes you to the dial-out screen you need. 

Copy/Print · Touch this button to use your scanner as a copier. · Drop in your original, Touch the button, and clean, crisp copies appear on your printer. · Generate multiple copies, in black and white or color, by setting a few simple preferences. 

Scan · Touch this button to scan photographs, business documents, articles, even 3-D objects with a single click. They automatically go to the PaperPort desktop.

OneTouch operation and the fastest scan to finish times 
Most scanners require the user to learn many steps for simple tasks. For example, there are 13 steps required to attach an image to email with most competing scanners. With OneTouch, once you've done a simple configuration procedure, one touch of the custom button will scan an item and attach to e-mail. You just enter the recipient's email address and click the Send button and you're done. While there may be faster scanners on the market, by eliminating steps and making the scanning process easy, the Visioneer OneTouch has the fastest "Scan-to-Finish" times. 

Organize all your documents and images 
Store news clippings, photographs, or any other scanned information on your PaperPort desktop at the touch of a button. Information is stored in file folders for instant filing and easy retrieval. PaperPort software compresses images automatically, reducing multi-megabyte, disk consuming scans to just a fraction of their original size. Exclusive built-in image-enhancement tools allow you to correct your scans so they look as color-accurate as possible. With these simple to use tools it is easy to correct defects in the original before printing the image. 

Links to programs regardless of TWAIN support 
There are many excellent programs that don't support TWAIN. Microsoft Word and email packages to name two good examples. With the OneTouch, you can bring images and text into these with the touch of a button.

For programs that do support TWAIN, there are often various ways of acquiring images into them which are confusing and counter, productive. With the OneTouch scanner, you simply configure the custom button to bring your picture or document directly into your applications .
