A Confused Church

What is happening to the Church? Religious leaders who should exemplify Christians teachings are spurning the book which they are supposed to accept and teach as holy scripture.

Confessions of homosexuality are becoming so common that even a remark that Jesus was gay induced only a few comments to counter this desecration. Claims that Christ approved homosexuality may not be new but they are emerging more often in this age of ‘alternative sex’.

Despite the Bible’s condemnation of sodomites it seems to be fashionable to accept homosexuals and lesbians. With so many gay priests and ministers it is evident the Church has no basis to refute any blasphemous allegations against Jesus.

Even heterosexual congregations appear to have become mentally impotent that they can no longer voice their beliefs for fear of being ‘politically incorrect’ and causing offence.

The atheist and agnostic and even those doubtful about God’s law will insist that sexual morality is a matter of personal preference and that they should be allowed to have sexual freedom. If we were to concede to this then where would the line between aberrance and normality lie?

To the people who reflect on the future of human life, normal is something which can be sustained under natural circumstances, therefore any deviant sex is no less than selfish perversion. Otherwise there would be no reason to abhor paedophilia or bestiality.

Progressively Biblical teachings are being doubted and discarded. Christ’s crucifixion and the virgin birth have been questioned and decades priests have been leaving the Church in increasing numbers. Is this an indication that the Bible is no longer a believable book? We should be told.
