Though my patient birds are very time-consuming, I have always tried not to lose connection to the wild ones.

Field work mainly focuses on:

  • native wild birds of prey and owls, their home ranges, prey analysis and reproduction,

Skull of Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo)

Prey remains of a pair of Goshawks (Accipiter gentilis)
Saker Falcon egg (Falco cherrug)
Pellet analysis

  • Eagle Owls (Bubo bubo), as their numbers have gone up during the past fifteen years, pellet analysis of Eagle Owls to prove they don't live just on game,
  • building nestboxes especially for small owl species.
