Favorite Anime Characters

Ok, this page is devoted to my favorite characters as a whole. Of course, the greatest anime character ever has his own page. Listed below are the characters I like, the series you can find them in, and brief summaries explaining why I think they are so awesome. Blue hair may have something to do with it.

Fushigi Yugi (or Yuugi)

First of all, this is one of the greatest series ever. Most of the characters were well developed, and easy to like or hate. My personal Fushigi Yugi favorites are Chichiri (no da) and Tamahome. I really did like Omiboshi too, but he was just a little too pathetic in the end. He was so cool when he was evil. Oh well. To find out why I love Chichiri click here visit the Chichiri Shrine. Tamahome is a favorite because although he is in love with Miaka, he also loves money and says some goofy shit. Also, he is so cute when superdeformed. Finally, both Tamahome and Chichiri have blue hair.

Slayers

Another favorite series is Slayers. Actually, Slayers has three series: (1) Slayers; (2) Slayers Next; (3) Slayers Try. Zelgadis is a "relation" of Rezzo the Red Priest. His legendary ancestor (it's kinda difficult to explain how they are related, but I'll just say that Rezzo was keepin' it in the family) turned 'Zel into a monster sorta. He is a chimera; part demon, part human, and part golim. Zelgadis is interesting because he's somewhat mysterious. Also, he is unfailingly polite and honest which is really odd in someone who is not quite one of the good guys. Did I mention that Zelgadis has blue hair?

Xellos, on the other hand, is really obnoxious. He seems to be a cheerful, happy-go-lucky guy with no grasp on the concept of personal space; he likes to get really close to the people he's talking to. Xellos is every bit as secretive as 'Zel. Unlike 'Zel he loves to let people know he has a secret. Also, I like Xellos because he's sneaky and it's difficult to tell what side (if any) he is on. I mean it's fairly obvious that he enjoys violence, but so does Lina. The only loyalty Xellos has is to his master Xellas, one of the four big "mazoku."

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing

Duo Maxwell and Chang Wufei of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing are the two standout characters of the series. Duo is awesome because of his attitude. He's cheerful, smart-assed, and even kinda whiny sometimes. (That's probably due to his priestly garb, and long girlish hair.) Anyway, he says some of the best lines in Gundam Wing. For example, my all-time favorite episode is the one in which Lady Un gets shot by Tuberoff. In this episode, Tuberoff has turned off the air supple to the prison cell holding Duo and Wufei. Wufei, stays his normal, rational self trying to conserve oxygen. Duo throws a temper tantrum like a little B****! He rolls around on the floor complaining about dying from lack of air, because he says that's lame for a soldier. He takes everything very seriously and does not appear to have a sense of humor. In fact, most of the other girls I know hate him because he is something of a mysogynist. I think it just makes him funny. I hated him originally, but he sort of grows on you after awhile. Also, in the Japanese subtitled version (especailly Endless Waltz, the OAV) he has quite a little potty mouth. I found that funny too, because he is always talking about honor, and how honorable is cussing like a sailor? Although this is a little girlie of me, I must say I like Wufei because he also has very cool (although blindingly white) clothing.
