The instructor at KSA Stables is Kimberly Sasala-Alvarez. Kimberly has over 20 years experience with horses. She has spent many years as a working student for numerous International and Olympic Dressage and Event Riders. These riders include Denny Emerson*, Janet Black("r"), Jan Gille**("r" and BHSI), Barbara Carlson-Shearer,and Carol Ames.
Kimberly has also taken lessons, audited, or ridden in clinics with Marina Glenn, Alix Nelson, Pat Kelly Jacobsen("r"and author of A Horse Around the House), Darren Chiachia***, Eike von Veltheim(German Dressage Master), Karen O' Connor****, Kathy Kusner, John Craven, Louise Meryman*****,Sally Swift******, John Lyons, Stephen Bradley, Captain Mark Phillips*******, and Anna Kingsbury.
Kimberly competed as an event rider in Area 1 as a Junior Rider and placed in numerous competitions through those years. She competed through Preliminary Level. She also competed Hunters as a junior.
Currently Kimberly is an Active Event and Dressage Competitor bringing along three mounts at different levels of competion. She is a member of the AHSA, USCTA, USDF, COCTA, WPDA, and WPCTA.
As an instructor,trainer, and coach Kimberly has over ten years of experience and teaches up to second level dressage and preliminary level eventing. She has coached students in all types of equestrian disciplines including 4H and Pony Club. Students have qualified and competed in every hunter class available at the State 4H Championships in Harrisburg, Pa. She has coached riders from novice through the preliminary divisions of eventing.
Kimberly has also taught summer camp, worked with handicapped riders, and is very successful with "problem", abused, and rescued horses. All of Kimberly's competition horses have a story behind them as they were all "rescue cases" that were transformed.

Kimberly strives as an instructor to teach horsemanship and to create "thinking" riders. She believes that horses are not dispensible creatures.She believes in teamwork and strives to achieve that as a trainer working closely with the owner, rider, farrier,and veterinarian to create trust and mutual respect among horse and rider.
Kimberly is available for clinics.
