This is how we do it!
Service Projects

The Jewels have provided service both on a local and global scale. These projects range from sponsoring and hosting the annual "Black Women Unite" leadership program, participating in the March of Dimes walk-a-thon, tutoring elementary, middle, and high school children in various subjects, and assisting with the construction of houses for low income families in conjunction with "Habitat for Humanity." In addition, the Jewels hold a Service Week, every semester, consisting of various projects aimed at benefiting our community. Overall, the Jewels of Tau provide an excellent outlet for women to interact with one another in both service and social activities. In excellence, there are many degrees and we believe SERVICE is one of them.

This year we have done over 1000 hours of service with: The African American Men Cancer Forum Network, Moffitt Cancer Center, Ronald McDonald House, Volunteer USF, St. Francis House, Multicultural Leadership Forum, Bull Market, Aids Walk, Metropolitian Ministries, Francis House, Goodwill, Shriners Hospital: For Crippled or Burnned Children, Shands Hospital, American Red Cross, March of Dimes, and so many more.
