Wm_Waters_Deed

 

This deed proves what happened to the six sons of William Waters who died ca 1687-8. The six sons were William Waters, Jr., John Waters, Richard Waters, Edward Waters, Obedience Waters & Thomas Waters. Thomas being the youngest and under age when William Waters made his will in 1685. Three of the sons were deceased when this deed was made and the remaining three were dividing up the estates.  Edward, Obedience and Thomas Waters were dead with no heirs except their three brothers.

This Indenture made this eighth day of march in the fourteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord William the third by the Grace of god of England, france & Ireland King __? of the ___? and in the year of our Lord god one thousand seven hundred and one Between William Waters of northampton County in Virginia Gent and Isabell his wife of ye one part & John Waters of the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland Gent on the other part witnesseth that Cecilis? Lord & Proprietor of the Province of Maryland did by his pattent or deed of grant under the great Seale of the said Province dated the eighth day of febry anno dom 1663 grant unto Majr. Wm Waters father of the afsd Wm Waters ___? of land called (Waters River) Sittuate Lying and being on the north side of Annemessex River being a ___? of Land Lying between __? Creeke and __? beginning at the mouth of __? Creeke and running __? north __? __? the River andto the mouth of the __? Creeke and into the __? side of the __?
