A reader from East Texas , November 14, 1998 Deep and thoughtful book about who God is Packer has written a book here that is deeper than 90% of the books out there on theology. This books makes us take a serious look at who God is. This includes God's unchanging nature, God's majesty, God wisdom, love, grace, judgment, wrath and goodness and jealousy. Packer makes the statement that there is a big difference between knowing about God and knowing God. A key quote for me would be on page 41 "What matters supremely, therefore, is not, in the last analysis, the fact that I know God, but the larger fact which underlies it-the fact that he knows me." You'll be reading this book over and over again and getting new info out of it each time.
