Cracker Jacks

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

2 Sticks butter or margarine
brown sugar, 2 c Packed brown sugar
1/2 c Light corn syrup
5 c Popped corn
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 c Peanuts

Preparation:

Create caramel mixture from the butter/margarine, brown sugar and corn syrup by mixing and simmering in a pot on the stove.
Pop the corn.
Add the baking soda.
Saute peanuts to bring the temperature of the peanuts up to that of the warm popcorn.
Mix in caramel mixture.
