Dugit Prayer Letter December, 1999

Happy Holidays and warm greetings from warm Tel Aviv!

We feel we need to share with you, our prayer partners, what has been going on here at Dugit lately. This last year we have had the Anti-Missionary society called Yad Leahim coming against us daily. In the beginning, they had their religious orthodox guys giving out leaflets against us to people passing by Dugit. Then whenever people tried to enter Dugit they would try to talk them out of coming in. Then one day they tried to break into our offices, but did not succeed. We had to put alarms systems in Dugit and in our offices against burglary. A few time they threatened to burn our building. They have painted black swastikas and the words “death to the missionaries” on our walls and door to the office. We have gone a few times to the police and complained, but the police will not do anything. Almost every morning when we came to open Dugit, we saw that they had thrown coffee or glue on our doors and on the locks to the doors. We had to get a video camera to record it at night while they came, so now they have stopped doing that.

We are now seeing that the enemy is getting DESPERATE! A couple of weeks ago one of them, with a filthy mouth, started cursing and screaming at me and to everyone that was coming to Dugit. We called the police and the policeman ordered them to move away from the door. Then they went and filed a complaint against on e of the members of our Congregation. They falsely accused our brother of beating him up. Last week I was called for investigation with the police. They falsely accused me of running an illegal Mission Center. They said that I bribe innocent young people with money and goods and that I convert them to another religion. They said that I secretly take them to the beach and baptize them into Catholicism.

We are definitely seeing that the enemy is getting desperate and is going to and from seeking what he may devour. We are standing on the Rock of our Salvation and we believe that he will flee from us. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world-forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

In spite of the forces against us, we see the Harvest is ripe. Every week we are having people coming to Yeshua. We are in the heart of Tel Aviv, in the devils territory. We are snatching souls from his hands into the Kingdom of God. We praise the Lord for every soul that comes to the Lord.

We feel we need to ask our prayer partners and intercessors to continue to lift us in prayer.

Specific Prayer requests:

1. For the protection of our Staff and for Dugit Center.
2. For the power of God to flow through us and break the curse they put on us daily.
3. For the Lord’s testimony to go forth form Dugit to the streets of Tel Aviv.
4. For more laborers to help us with this task.
5. For provision of our monthly support

Thanks to each one of you and may the Lord bless you mightily for your service to Him!
