Black-gray Shade of Blue The forest was enveloped in the soft blue-black blanket of midnight. The rain, finally gone, had left only the freshest spicy aroma of the night air behind. Nature, tired and cleaned, was peacefully asleep, trusting Creature to guard the world. Silence was walking among the trees, tenderly touching the breathing life around her, when suddenly a sound, no, not a sound, but something like the lightest tremble in the air, drew her attention. For a second fear possessed her. But then, catching a glimpse of the familiar sweet, tart smell of danger and strength, she calmed down and smiled. Creature was playing his favorite game. The hunting predator, the wild and mysterious animal from a legend told by the villagers, was running through the forest, hiding in the leaves' shadows. But sometimes the extremely curious moon could catch a flash of the shining black leather which covered his lithe body, caressing every part of that living gracefulness. The predatory hunter was hiding in the dark forest, but foolish moon, not aware of the danger, was sticking its silly rays between the trees, trying to illuminate the beauty of mythical Creature of the Night. He had reached a small open meadow, and suddenly was entirely lit up by the pale moon, which was shivering from fear and desire. Creature was standing carelessly and boldly, but even aware of every tiny dewdrop, falling from the leafs of the flowers. Moonray caressed the clearest lines of the strong and graceful body of the predator, and kissed the passionate fire in Creature's eyes full of innocence, will, and kindness. You were sitting near the fire when Creature approached you. His body elegantly lowered itself on the silky grass close to you, and he was looking at you with the curiosity of a sweet and innocent child. Emerald life was burning in those eyes, colored in lightest darkness. Fair skin was flushed from the delight of the fast run, danger, and successful hunting. Rough velvet of lashes brushed your skin, while the gentlest lips were caressing your face, coming closer... The piercing, sharp light of the early morning burst into the world, igniting pain in his eyes and head. The day had come, wrapped in gray fur, looking at him with indifference and coldness, scratching his heart with keen, long nails in the color of blood. But deep, very deep in his soul, deeper than the ache, despair and sadness, the memory of kind eyes, of soft lips, of strong hands and a warm body, lived, was saved, and gave hope.
